 Metrex Valve

The Challenge:

Metrex Valve sales were stagnant. Their website and traditional marketing materials were dated, no longer reflective of the company’s brand. Metrex had “doubled down” its marketing budget and resources on a trade show for the HVAC industry. Most sales activities were handled by their inbound marketing team, which was insular.

The Solution:

A companywide Smarketing review uncovered several opportunities for success, including that branding, marketing and operational issues that were affecting sales. The website did not provide relevant information for customers to make a purchasing decision. It also did not promote their full line of commercial HVAC valves. And poor coordination between the inbound sales and operations departments had extended delivery times as well as other onboarding processes that frustrated customers.

Results:

Metrex has enjoyed a 3x growth in sales since sMarketing began. The Reynolds Group developed a new website that includes a powerful but simple content management system (CMS) that allows better on-page SEO. We added new content, including PDF spec sheets and new professional photos of all valves. The website is now responsive so local maintenance teams can order spare parts from their phones using the site’s expanded Part Kits section. Video overviews make it easier for new and existing customers to see Metrex capabilities and product lines. With ongoing sMarketing consulting in place, communication between operations and sales has helped improve the customer onboarding experience.

Many of these companies attained profitability. There was a steady improvement in the diversion rate of post-consumer tires and carpet going into the California waste stream.

 Winchell’s Donuts

The Challenge:

Yum Donut Shops and Winchell’s Donut House were concerned about online accessibility issues. People with disabilities related to eyesight and/or use of a mouse could not access either company’s website. Lawsuits like this are increasing 300% every year. The range of applicable disabilities includes color blindness to armed services veterans with missing limbs. To reduce the risk of further legal action, the companies had to properly remediate their websites.

The Solution:

The Reynolds Group help retain an accredited third-party auditing company and dedicated a digital accessibility team to expedite the design and development of two new websites.

Results:

Yum Yum Donut Shops and Winchell’s Donut house have new websites that are fully accessible by the 55 million potentials customers who have disabilities in the United States. Both websites are reviewed quarterly to maintain compliance. The sites were built using an advanced Content Management System (CMS) that will grow with their new marketing initiatives that rolled out in the following 18 months.

Republic Services

The Challenge:

Having homeowners sort trash is always a problem for trash haulers. Republic Services wanted fresh ideas for working with their customers to do a better job of separating trash into recyclable, waste or green bins. They also needed a plan for communicating trash pickup dates in a calendar form that customers would keep as a reference for how to separate trash appropriately.

The Solution:

The Reynolds Group team, working with Republic Services, designed a collateral toolkit featuring engaging door hangers, posters and calendars that would serve as attractive, educational tools.

Results:

Republic Services was happy because the sites they served gave glowing reviews of the new collateral designs and quality of work. Post-launch metrics showed that homeowners did not throw away this collateral, instead keeping them for future.
